The W Hotel, located at 81 North Quay in the Brisbane CBD, opened its doors in 2018 as the city’s newest attraction. The W Brand is certainly one of luxury, unique and bold design, as well as striking architecture. The addition of W Brisbane to the brand’s franchise definitely did not disappoint in this regard. T&H were fortunate enough to be a part of this exciting project, and were able to help create some of its most iconic spaces.  Some of these spaces include the W Living Room Bar and Lounge, the Three Blue Ducks Restaurant, as well as the Wet Deck Pool Bar. While working on these spaces, along with various other areas throughout the Hotel, we were able to work with some of our valued suppliers, as well as work alongside some new suppliers from Italy. Within the bars and restaurants, we installed some beautiful, bespoke refrigeration and cooking suites from the prestigious Iglu Cold Systems and Marrone. With a $1 billion price tag on this monumental mixed-use development, there was a high expectation for the quality of work being done. The many long hours spent at the W Hotel and working in the T&H factory to exceed this expectation was well worth it, as the outcome in the end was no doubt of exceptional quality. The custom work involved in this project was second to none, so as to ensure a unique design for the project. The brass detailing throughout was one of the signature statements of our custom pieces – This materiality was exhibited within the Foyer, as well as in the Living Room Bar light feature boxes.
