The Clarence Correctional Centre project in Grafton has been an ongoing project of ours for the past couple of years. We were incredibly thrilled to have been chosen to be a part of this project, as the Clarence Correctional Centre is Australia’s largest correctional facility to date. Over the next 20 years, this correctional facility will inject more than $560M into the local economy, while creating 1,100 jobs throughout the construction process, as well as generating 600 permanent jobs once it is fully operational. The facility accommodates 1,700 beds for inmates, and features cutting edge security and surveillance, as well as exceptional rehabilitation, hospitality and learning facilities. John Holland CEO Joe Barr congratulated the construction team, “after 949 days of hard work, I am proud that our people have delivered a state-of-the-art corrections facility that will focus on keeping the community safe and reducing recidivism.” This enormous project consisted of installing multiple male and female kitchens and laundries, while incorporating various brands of foodservice equipment such as Meiko, Comcater, Moffat, FSM, Hobart, Roband, Zip and numerous others throughout the facility. This has been an incredibly rewarding project to be a part of, and we were proud to work alongside John Holland, Serco, Macquarie, John Laing, Northern Pathways and FSDA to create this historical project for the NSW Government.
