The Awaken Complex is set atop one of the Gold Coast’s most popular locations; situated on Point Danger, this new development boasts panoramic views overlooking Duranbah Beach and Snapper Rocks.  Awaken is a boutique residential complex with 9 full-floor apartments, complemented by ‘Awaken Cafe’ on the ground floor and ‘Pipi’s Restaurant’ on the first floor.  Both spaces were realized by Brisbane restaurant guru, the Gambaro Group, most notably known for Black Hide Steakhouse, Persone and Gambaro’s Seafood Restaurant.
Awaken Cafe is a stunning beachfront venue that incorporates indoor and outdoor seating, features a coastal-chic style that embodies the relaxed and laid-back vibe of Coolangatta, while simultaneously referencing the local connection to the natural environment throughout the integration of soft hues, understated finishes and subtle fixtures.
Pipi’s Restaurant is a striking coastal style venue with a menu that nods to Mediterranean flavours reminiscent of a European Summer sensibility.  This space is not only an aesthetic haven with 180-degree coastal views, but also has spectacular functional capabilities; featuring a 100 seat guest capacity, an organic front-of-house servery and bar set-up, luxurious Cyberchill display cabinets throughout, as well as one-of-a-kind commercial food-service equipment selections – “Our culinary team will use the proven Montague broiler, working in tandem with the Josper grill, to create distinctive flavours” says John Gambaro.
Our team worked tirelessly alongside McNab to deliver this incredible project for the Gambaro Group, and ultimately the understated and elegant end result speaks for itself.
