Babylon is Brisbane’s latest riverfront restaurant haven, which specialises in Middle Eastern cuisine with a unique menu encompassing Turkey and Levantine inspired dishes.  The restaurant features a multi-faceted arrangement of entertainment spaces, incorporating a luxurious cocktail bar, four dining quadrants, as well as an open-plan kitchen with voided archways for guests to seemingly watch the chefs prepare their meals.  Babylon Brisbane is the Mantle Group Hospitality brand’s second sister venue in Australia, with their original culinary rendition of the historic empire located in Sydney.  Local architects Hogg and Lamb are the master-minds behind this exceptionally designed space, with Hammersmith Construction at the forefront of bringing their vision to life.  The restaurant’s set-up of food-service spaces compliments MGH’s culinary portfolio, echoing the functional design-driven aspect of its counterpart venues.  The interior bar features a backdrop of distinctive interlocking breezeway blocks which divides the dining spaces effortlessly, as well as featuring an elegant emerald stone bar façade and custom brass finishes, appropriate to the restaurant’s historic influences.  The commercial kitchen facilitates a galley-style layout to enhance efficiency within the restaurant’s fast-paced environment, accompanied by an adjoining thoroughfare for guests to meander through and interact with the chefs.  The Babylon restaurant is only the first stage of a multi-level entertainment hub, with a two-story alfresco bar and dining space set to open in early 2023; with a total capacity of almost 1000, Babylon Gardens will feature bars and terraces sprawling down to the riverfront.
